Czech-Slovak Marathon postponed due to border closure
The Czech-Slovak border was supposed to be the venue for the Czech-Slovak Marathon in October. Since 29 September, the border with Slovakia has been closed due to the current migration situation. Therefore, the October Running without Borders races, i.e. the traditional marathon, half marathon, decathlon, as well as the popular family run, have been postponed for the time being. „We want to ensure full safety and comfort for all runners from both countries. That is why we have decided to postpone the runs after consulting with the local authorities,“ says Karel Kosina, the organiser of the races (originally scheduled for 15 October 2022). For the latest information on the event, follow the social networking site Running Without Borders or the website https://behybezhranic.cz/. Registration and fee are valid for the alternate date. Fee refunds can be requested at info@behybezhranic.cz. Mgr.
